WHEN ACADEMIC PRIVILEGE BECOMES LICENSE
 When all else fails it is time to bring out the Felix Frankfurter Fool, Alan Dershowitz, who is now on another crusade against academia that might have any twinge of conscience! This is becoming an all to often tragedy, when an institution like Harvard allows it's chairs to rant like maniacs against freedom of conscience and consequent actions.
BRING OUT THE FOOL!So we have this sordid trail, that leads from this man who is supposed to be the "champion of liberal freedom" (or displayed as such as a defense attorney) to embrace torture; write books on subjects like the Israeli / Palestinian conflict and make a fool out of himself by plagiarizing a hoax (the novice that he is in this arena); threaten to make sure Iran in bombed; go after a consummate scholar like Norman Finkelstein trying to interrupt the private institutional process of tenure; and now threatening to have academics in the UK defunded for taking a stand and imposing academic sanctions against Israeli academics complicit in the atrocities committed against the Palestinian people! Is there nothing that this born again Zionist thinks he not capable of? It is a form of delusion of grandeur, a man drunk with self-congratulatory power, an off balance individual.
 What Dershowitz is up in arms about are academics that are outraged at the Israeli treatment of the Palestinians, and they have decided to translate their outrage into boycott. This group in the UK are called BRICUP, British Committee for Universities of Palestine. Its twin missions are: to support Palestinian universities, staff and students, and to oppose the continued illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands with its concomitant breaches of international conventions of human rights, its refusal to accept UN resolutions or rulings of the International Court, and its persistent suppression of Palestinian academic freedom."The delegates earlier overwhelmingly (just one vote against) voted to accept the recommendations of a report from a body set up in the fallout of the 2005 decision by AUT to impose an academic boycott of Israel." "The construction of the Israeli wall across and through Palestinian land in flagrant violation of the rulings of the International Court and despite international condemnation, notably from the EU, is making everyday life, to say nothing of teaching and research, ever more difficult for our Palestinian colleagues.
"In response to these continued acts of oppression, there have been international calls for sanctions against Israel and boycotts of Israeli institutions. Trade Unions, including AUT and NATFHE, have endorsed such calls, as have a number of MPs (1) and MEPS (2).
"We recognise that there are a number of courageous individual Israeli academics who are openly critical of their country's policies, who support their Palestinian academic colleagues and who work with the peace movement. We pay tribute to such individual academic colleagues of conscience and stand in solidarity with them. However, they are few (3) in number (less than 1%), and institutionally, Israeli universities are at worst active supporters of Israeli state policy, at best in passive compliance with it. BRICUP therefore supports these growing calls for an academic boycott of Israeli institutions until such time as a just peace is negotiated."Especially in the current climate of rising Islamophobia and Antisemitism, boycott is among the clearest and least violent forms of action in resisting occupation and injustice at an international level. An academic boycott is a weapon to be used selectively and only under clearly defined conditions (4)."At this stage of the long struggle for Palestinian self determination, an academic boycott is both a personal and a collective act made in solidarity with our Palestinian colleagues whose academic freedom is currently denied. By supporting this important sector of Palestinian civil society BRICUP seeks to help foster a non-violent and just solution in this troubled region."As in the case of South Africa, it will be a long haul from ethical acts of solidarity to full UN-administered economic cultural and academic sanctions. The comparison with the anti-Apartheid movement and the need for pressure from international civil society – specifically from universities - has been made by leading ANC figures and also Archbishop Desmond Tutu (5)."
MORE DETAILED FORM OF BOYCOTT Two students abducted (not arrested and charged) at Jenin University 26th March, 2007 Not only do these UK academics call for boycott, they will not put up with the smear campaign of those that oppose this by calling them antisemitic or self-hating Jews:

While I am at it, it is time for Harvard to remove Dershowitz from his chair, he has befouled Harvard enough. In fact, Harvard is in danger of becoming a den of demagoguery, it is swiftly losing it's footing in the realm of academia. They know well what I speak of, and that this is not an empty accusation. It is time for your board to consider whether it wishes to sacrifice it's legacy upon the alter of ideology - because their silence bespeaks complicity! It would do you nothing but good to consider my words before you become a fetid cadaver that is fit for nothing but burial, rather than further assaulting the academic community with your loose canons.

THE LAST TESTIMONY OF KAMAL NASIR
 In the movie Munich, by Stephen Spielberg, won many nominations lauding a team of assassins, led by Ehud Barak (20 years later becoming prime minister) who hunted down men that attacked the Israeli Olympic team. It is supposed to be a story of bravery, but what is not told is an atrocity and a tragedy.
This man that was the spirit of kindness and gentle, who was not a violent man, but a prolific poet and writer, who had nothing to do with the incident in Munich. The editor of the Palestinian publication called "The Palestinian Revolution," a man of elegance and eloquence who never missed an opportunity to express his peoples desires and goals.

Israel, that never misses a beat to banish and destroy the thinkers and artists of the Palestinians, killed this innocent man in his sleep, as part of their assassins goals to "get the terrorists." On the 10th of April 1973, this talented and artistic man who showed such unfailing commitment to his fellow Palestinians was killed in his sleep.
I want to emphasize how he was killed, he was found with his hands stretched out, THERE WAS MULTIPLE BULLET WOUNDS IN HIS MOUTH AND IN THE HAND THAT HE WROTE WITH! WHICH CRUELY AND UNMERCIFULLY SAID IF YOU SPEAK FOR THE PALESTINIANS AND WRITE ON THEIR BEHALF THIS WILL BE YOUR FATE. "LET THEM EAT CAKE?" - NO, NOW IT IS "LET THEM EAT DIRT!"
 (The starving children of Afghanistan) There has been a great spotlight on the terrible condition of the Iraqis, and almost virtual silence in the United States press in regard to Afghanistan, where there are millions starving. This is part and parcel of the operating actions of the United States Government, in how the war torn area has left these people to die, while they line the pockets of their corporations!
"Afghan children chew on mud they scratch from the walls of their homes to stave off hunger." May 26th, 2007, written by Matt Waldman, under the title of "Unsuitable, Unsustainable HERE." I find the preamble of his article even more revealing - "When Afghan children are forced to eat mud, it is clear we have squandered billions of dollars of aid."
 "Most reconstruction work has focused on urban centres and national institutions and structures. It has been supply-driven, not needs-driven." So essentially what we are saying is that they may build brick and mortar, but who it is built for, the people, are ignored.
"But as in Iraq, a vast proportion of aid is wasted. Political pressure in donor countries for rapid results has led to projects that are unsuitable and unsustainable. Most aid money goes to pro grammes in the opium-intensive, insecure provinces in the south. To neglect secure provinces is to invite the insurgency to spread." Not only are the Afghans being wiped out by war but they are being wiped out by unsustainable misappropriation of money.
 "Close to half of US development assistance goes to the five biggest US contractors in the country. Too much money is lost to high salaries and living costs, non-Afghan resources and corporate profits. The overall cost of one expatriate consultant is about half a million dollars a year. International contractors are indispensable, but there needs to be rigorous scrutiny, with targets for increased use of Afghan resources." So it is the old bait and switch, the same thing that takes place in Iraq, massive sums of money going into the pockets of corporations and salaries.
Along with this the death toll is rising from indiscriminate bombing. Entire families are wiped out, and villages become nothing but non-descript holes in the ground where thriving communities one lived.
 They eat dirt and grass porridge. They suffer from acute diarrhea and bleeding bowels. Millions are in the process of dying as the United States builds institutional buildings with no benefit.
However, this is not the only problems, let me explain. In the billions that are spent 80 cents per dollar finds it's way out of the country! While this is happening the Afghans have no access to water, sanitation, or health care services.
70% of American aid is contingent on buying American items, which includes American made armaments. When you boil it all down, while millions are starving, 86 cents on the dollar of United States aid is phantom money!
Nothing is truly being built for the people of Afghanistan, but for the game of Empire, that is the only final analysis that one can come up with. So it is all about energy exports and the domination of the United States over the whole of South Asia!

 EXCLUSIVE FOOTAGE, AL JAZEERA, OF NAHR AL-BARED UNDER SIEGEIt was not long that southern Lebanon was bombed mercilessly by the Israelis. They bombed residential buildings, schools, factories, roads, cars going down roads, mosques, electrical and fuel supplies, etc. You would think with this having happened recently, that they would think twice about shelling the defenseless Nahr al-Barid Palestinian refugee camp.
However, maybe the American-Israeli plan of bombing Lebanon was not far off the mark - perhaps they were hoping that the murder and mayhem would incite the northern parts of Lebanon, seeing that the south is poverty stricken, and a small minority of Lebanese who have been enfranchised by Western Euro-American design would show their hatred as they desired. They mistook the privileged and better off northern parts, and the hatred they wished to invoke evaporated, just like their plans for victory over Hizbullah.
REUTERS REPORT - THE PLIGHT OF THE PALESTINIANS IN LEBANON Perhaps the Israeli incursion was not too far off the mark, and whereas this outrage against Hizbullah did not arise (I believe because it is well armed and able to defend itself), now a new group has been elected as the focal point of hatred for the enfranchised Lebanese - the Palestinians. So this hatred and racism did find a joining point, some of the Lebanese who see themselves as a cut above the rest, have joined together to unleash their hatred against the mostly defenseless Palestinians!
They say that this group that arose from the Palestinians which caused mayhem and killed some civilians and soldiers was inspired by Syria. The present government and their army being unleashed against this village of 30,000 to 40,0000 Palestinians. Who, in an eerie sense began to shell the village indiscriminately, using the excuse of going after the Palestinian militants - eerie in the sense that it reminds you of the attacks of Israel on their Palestinian population in the occupied territories.
In order to have a rallying point, any government in power trying to bring factions together as in Lebanon, will try to find a "common enemy." There seems to be this mutual hated among the Lebanese against the Palestinians and I believe they are playing upon it by this terrible attack.
It is nothing new, this old animosity against the Palestinians who sought refuge, which lead to the occupation of Lebanon in the 80's and the international contingency at that time lead by the Americans. On the site, The Angry Arab News Service, As'ad Abukhalil speaks openly about this racism and hatred toward the Palestinians -
"This is the Lebanon that I had divorced at age 15. "The army has the support of many local people too, who expressed anger at the camp's residents. "We hate these people," said Walid Hussain. "They are always causing trouble. We think the army should go in there and take them out. If they don't now they could be fighting for a month." READ MORE OF WHAT HE SAYS HERE

As I said previously, you have these dreams that lead to demise, as if this present government in Lebanon is of some great concern to Western Hegemony. There are short memories of what the representatives of the West did via their representative, Israel, just recently to this nation.
However, the elite that have been anointed as the leaders in Lebanon want nothing but to be another player in their so-called "war on terror" in this region, and they are willing to do anything to make this a reality. Perhaps some day the Lebanese will understand that they are just being used to enrich the few, and that there is nothing that will be forthcoming to make them the country that they want by shelling and killing innocent Palestinians!
WHILE LEBANON IS BOMBED, THE LEBANESE ARMY SERVES TEA TO INVADING ISRAELIS However, I smell a rat which manufactured and incited some youth perhaps in this refugee camp. Who benefits from targeting the Palestinians? Who is inciting inter-fighting among the Palestinians in the Occupied Territories? Who benefits from further blackening the eye of the Palestinians? Who can't wait to further incite the hatred of the Palestinians, trying to make them look bad wherever they are? Somewhere you will find the writing of Hariri Inc. written here! Is this the rite of passage into imperial arms?
Have you noticed how the "Al Qaeda" has been mixed in this incident, how the group has been vociferously invoked? Who always uses the Al Qaeda invocation? Why, this group is almost omnipresent. They had Guantanamo Bay filled with Al Qaeda at one time, now there is barely a dozen. Micheal Parenti once talked about the sudden invocation of Momar Kadaffi during the Reagan years - than suddenly (!) he was everywhere, Momar this and that, he is under the bed, he is going to get your moma! It is the error of believing that they can overcome this by any group defined above that causes dreams that bring demise. No amount of subservience to Western Imperialism will bring anything that even remotely resembles equality with those who consider themselves our masters.

WOMEN, CHILDREN AND ETHNIC CLEANSING

"They were going to call him Daoud, after an uncle, and also after a resident of the camp who was killed. At home they had everything ready: new clothes, diapers and a crib passed down from his older brothers. Daoud was buried in the camp cemetery. Only a few close family members attended the funeral of the unborn baby." Haaretz, Gideon Levy
NOT ONLY IN DARKNESS BUT IN BROAD DAYLIGHT(After they called them whores they opened fire)
In Ein Beit Ilma refuge camp in Nablus a mother, 29 year old Maha Katouni is awakened to yet another Israeli incursion into the camp, the excuse is the same - looking for militants. She rushs to her childrens room because bullets are flying through her home - The IOF is always known for shooting through homes, does not matter who is inside.
She arose from her bed to comfort one of her three sons who was crying being tramatized by the sound of gun fire, and a bullet ripped through her back breaking her bones and lodging in the head of her 7 month old son not yet born. The bullet shattered the head of the fetus and exited through her stomach, shots coming from Nahal patrol seeing her light go on and her bed being by the window.
 When she was rushed to the Rafidiya hospital it took a three quarters of an hour for the ambulance to arrive according to Rifat her husband, detained by the IOF as it tried to rush to the scene (many times resulting in the death of the patients), they were also stopped twice by soldiers on the way to the hospital. Along with her physical condition the her mental state will take her longer than normal to recover.
There she lies as she learns of the fate of her unborn son, her eyes open occasionally but than shut. She tries to speak but cannot, only some murmering can be heard, as she passes from semi-consciousness back into unconsciousness.
 (Taking photos with their dead trophe) This post is not an attempt to exploit this families suffering, this is because it is one family in a long stretch of Palestinians that suffer daily by the murderous and brutal hands of occupying Israel. I could say, without any equivocation that even if this women were in the street in broad daylight she could have been shot.
Why would I say something like that? Because when you remove the outward facade from these tragedies, standing behind them is the goal of ethnic cleansing, one step away from genocide. There means is to do this dead by any means necessary - incudling premeditated mass State homicide in the name of "finding the militants."
The fetus which was shot in the head in the womb, suffers no different fate than other children in the Occupied Territory, who in the majority die from bullets to the head administered by the IOF. The only thing you could say about this incident, is that it reflects the perennially "preemptive" nature of the entire ethnic cleansing occupation strategy!
THE QUESTION MUST BE ASKED WHEN IS ENOUGH ENOUGH? I CAN TELL YOU WITH CERTAINTY THAT THESE ZIONISTS WILL CONTINUE TO DO THIS IF THEY ARE NOT STOPPED. WHAT SUPPORTS THEM IS INDISCRIMINATE SUPPORT FROM THE UNITED STATES. AT THIS POINT WE SHOULD ASK THESE FUNDAMENTALIST CHRISTIANS - NOW THEY EVEN KILL UNBORN CHILDREN, WILL THAT MAKE YOU STOP YOUR SUPPORT? TO THE REST I SAY, LET US PRESS THE ISSUE OF NO MORE SUPPORT FOR THIS BRUTAL OCCUPATION WHOSE CENTRAL GOAL IS THE COMPLETE ETHNIC CLEANSING OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE.

THE BOYS FROM ISRAEL AND HARVARD
 CAN HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF? You are familiar with the movie The Boys From Brazil? Well, I am talking about the boys from Israel, and it is not a movie flick. So, what does such a prestigious university like Harvard, have to do with war criminals?
When the whole world repeatedly cries out in regard to war crimes by Israel, this university, ostensibly one of the finest in the nation, does not give refuge to fugitives, but allows these war criminals to come waltzing in to enhance their lives with further education, or as speakers, etc.
 (Moshe Kaplinski) Moshe excelled in the 2006 war with Lebanon, where, after a peace resolution and ceasefire was announced, he decided it would be just fine to drop more than 3.5 million cluster bombs. This being dropped on farming land making it impossible to farm, and highly traveled areas where the civilian population live.
With a million not exploding it is the "gift that keeps on killing." This is an inhuman and cruel weapon, specifically made to kill and would people - it is an anti-personnel weapon. Moshe plans on coming to Harvard in July.
THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES (Doron Almog) Doron is a particularly repugnant war criminal, and he is also a SENIOR FELLOW of Harvard Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Kennedy School Of Government, 2004. There is a warrant for his arrest on the suspicion of war crimes by the Chief London Magistrate, September 2005 (evaded arrest).
He ordered the destruction of 1,100 plus homes in Gaza, in violation of international humanitarian law , razing farmland and bulldozing trees causing over 10,000 people to lose their homes. All of this is the interest of creating "buffer zones," to create a tighter grip on Gaza, and shooting at any people who tried to return. This is a great problem because hundreds of thousands of people have no where else to go in the most densely populated real estate in the world.
COLONIAL SETTLERS LEAVE A MESSAGE - WHAT DOES THIS REMIND YOU OF? Quite frankly, we could go on forever with all of the IOF that has committed war crimes against the Palestinians. The fourth most powerful forces on the earth murders, harasses, and is in the final stages of ethnically cleansing the Palestinian people.
What is any different from this, and the activities that were the runner up of the Holocaust? These are the preconditions of genocide. WHEN I SAID NEVER AGAIN I MEANT IT, I MEANT IT FOR ALL PEOPLE, NOT JUST THE JEWISH PEOPLE. I DID NOT SAY NEVER AGAIN FOR ME, BUT OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR YOU! NOTHING HAS BEEN PRODUCED BUT ANGUISH AND ANGER BY THIS ACTIVITY IN THE OCCUPIED TERRITORIES, AND IT MUST STOP, FOR NOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED AND THE ZIONISTS ARE THE OPPRESSORS.

 In 1948 a year of catastrophe, where a Palestinian homeland was lost to a brutal ethnic cleansing performed by Zionists, that has not stopped but continues to this day, the never ending Nakba. To this day some would have you believe that people merely left, it was a tragedy of war - but anyone who studies carefully what took place knows that it was a cruel plan executed without mercy upon a defenseless people.
To this day there has never been an acknowledgment by the Israeli government for what took place, yet they constantly call for the recognition of Israel. I say it continues to this day, with no remedy, as the world turns it's back upon a people with their hand outstretched, the never ending Nakba.

New land is stolen, homes are demolished, and people are killed in their homes. How much do a people have to cry out? HAPPY MOTHERS DAY - PALESTINIAN MOTHERS UNDER SIEGE EAST JERUSALEM
 Raising Yousuf, Unplugged: Diary Of A Palestinian Mother HERE"Israel has announced plans to build 20,000 new settler units on the outskirts of occupied East Jerusalem, prompting condemnation from Palestinians. The Jerusalem Construction and Planning Committee endorsed the plan to establish three Jewish settlements a day after the World Bank issued a report critical of Israel's West Bank closure policies.
Palestinian officials say the illegal settlements will create an uninterrupted stretch of Jewish-only housing and amenities between the eastern sector of the city and two West Bank settlement blocs. Jad Ishaq, director of the Applied Research Institute of Jerusalem, told Al Jazeera the settlements will comprise 20,000 new housing units, making room for 90,000 new settlers.
 They are expected to raise to 570,000 the number of settlers living illegally on Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank, or 10 per cent of the Israeli population, added Ishaq. "Israel is trying to answer the Palestinian initiative for peace by creating facts on the ground and stripping Jerusalem of its Arab character," he said.
A legal adviser to the Palestinian government, speaking on condition of anonymity, said "the announcement shows that Israel believes ... it can take as much it wants, when it wants, and nobody will say or do anything". Israel's settlements, including those in Arab East Jerusalem, are considered illegal under international law.

Saeb Erekat, the chief Palestinian negotiator, said: "Today, the occupier has no clothes. Today it is obvious that Israel wants Jerusalem for only some of Jerusalem's people. One day Israel demolishes a home and centre for disabled children; the next it approves plans for three illegal ultra-Orthodox settlements in East Jerusalem, calling into question the very viability of Jerusalem's ancient communities of Christian and Muslim Palestinians."
On Wednesday, Israeli forces demolished a home for special needs children in the East Jerusalem neighbourhood of Wadi Joz. Israeli border police forcibly evicted the caregivers and children at dawn, according to the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions. Israeli officials said the centre lacked a proper permit.

The demolition coincided with a World Bank report which found that Palestinians in East Jerusalem have extreme difficulty obtaining building permits from Israeli authorities. The report also indicated that a disproportionate number of demolitions occurred in East Jerusalem, despite the fact that most violations took place in West Jerusalem.
"Eighty per cent of building violations [registered in Jerusalem] were recorded in West Jerusalem [while] 80 per cent of actual demolition orders issued were for buildings in Palestinian East Jerusalem," the report said. The report says the Israeli closure policy has resulted in the fragmentation of the West Bank into a series of cantons that are completely disconnected from one another.
 "In economic terms, the restrictions have created a level of uncertainty and inefficiency which has made the normal conduct of business extremely difficult and therefore has stymied the growth and investment which is necessary to fuel economic revival," it added. The legal adviser to the Palestinian government said the World Bank report offered no new findings.
"We've been saying this for years. We just wish the world would wake up and not just listen but actually do something. We have a situation where every European state is currently violating its own laws by trading with Israeli settlements. "If they are serious about the two-state solution its time for them to live up to their own rhetoric and do something about it."
 Meanwhile, according to the Israeli press, the construction of the three new settlements seems earmarked in the controversial E-1 area east of Jerusalem, despite repeated promises from the Israeli government to the US that it would not build or expand settlements there. The area, known as Metropolitan East Jerusalem, which extends from Ramallah in the north to Bethlehem in the south, historically accounts for 30-40 per cent of the Palestinian economy in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip combined.
By fragmenting that metropolitan unit and severing East Jerusalem from the rest of the West Bank, says Saeb Erekat, "the Jerusalem-area wall and settlements mean no viable Palestinian state, no Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem, and thus no viable two-state solution". The Israeli daily Haaretz, quoting an unnamed source in the government, said officials believe the plan is "problematic" because of political sensitivities."

I HEAR THE SOUND OF ACADEMIC THUNDER

I have heard the sound of academic thunder, quite pronounced in the support of the scholarly work of Norman Finkelstein. Yesterday, in unanimity two academic giants testified to the quality of Norman Finkelstein's works, respectively Raul Hilberg the founder of Holocaust studies and Avi Shlaim professor of International Relations at Oxford University and expert of Israeli-Arab conflict, both spoke in Norman Finkelsteins favor as a scholar. This was done in a phone interview on Democracy Now.

So I asked myself this question - why was it necessary to have these two well known scholars to come forward in support of Norman Finkelstein's scholarship? The answer which surfaced was simple - because there is a concerted effort by influences in the United States to discredit Norman Finkelstein, and have him banished from the academic community - most notably seen in recent outside assaults on his tenure review at DePaul University (Alan Dershowitz's, in my view, shameful conduct).
It was necessary to have these two men come forward, and specifically these men, one the veritable founder of Holocaust studies, the other an indisputable leading expert in the Israeli-Arab conflict, because none other would do. There has been such an array of resistance to these issues by those who support, let us say "The Cause," that they will employ any dishonest means to stifle academic debate which would expose these two areas.
The problem has become so acute by the powerful in high places, has been so confounded with the very future of America - that no one else coming forward would have the weight to be the counterbalance of this almost omnipresent blockage of the truth regarding these issues. From the bilking of financial institutions who owed no money, to the shameful occupation of Palestine, no one else could answer.
The pressure becoming so severe on the academic community, that in both the EU and the US the very branches of governments are being used to confound Zionism with all the Jewish people, removing criticism from Israel by confusing State criticism with antisemitism, and allowing charlatans to defame those who suffered so severely in the Holocaust to be cheapened by both theft and fraud - the knot had to be severed!

 SARKOZY A UN REVETalk about a colonial blast from the past, here comes Sarkozy, the man who brought you immigrant riots while calling them "scum that should be hosed from the street." Apparently today all you have to do is show immigrant and specifically Muslim disdain and you to can be presidential material!
Sarkozy tells us he is going to "break" with the past, so I give a warning to the French, here comes "globalism" at it's worse, which is supposed to make you "competitive." Translated, this means kiss any good paying jobs goodbye, your job security will be a thing of the past, and he wants you to respect him for it!
Since he is now president elect he wants to let you know that he has concerns all over the globe. Watch out for the explorer dress, his inference of making France a global power again means more of the aggressive stance similar to Bush in America. He is going to "bring together Europe and Africa," he says - wonder what that means?
COLONISATIONWatch the pendulum swing from neo-conservative to liberal, one issue is a constant - with the agenda that Sarkozy proposes he intends to do nothing but enrich the elite, at the expense of the people. I want you to remember this statement as he enters office, see if after a period of time if it is correct or in error.
"I will continue to speak about the national identity because I do not want to leave the monopoly of the nation to the extreme right-hand side. I want to speak about the French nation because I do not accept the image that Jean-Marie Le Pen gives it."
He has done little but to pander to the extreme right, is he trying to say he will change? No, what he is saying is that he does not like the "image" but he will keep the substance.
Years of racism and neglect explode in a wave of riots across France, and who stokes the flame? Sarkozy, is Paris burning? Super-Sarko, couldn't do much but verbalize invectives, he had to be reined in by Villepin! They all became the "firmness crew" with little to no answers, and you can expect good doses of the same with this presidency.
The immigrant population has become nothing but Neuf-Toris, the outer edges of Paris, with no future. I predict more vilifying of the immigrant, and playing into the BS about the immigrant Muslim "taking over Europe."
Shall we have a repeat of 2005? It is almost assured, the immigrant community is isolated, vilified, and has no hope for the future. Even in April 2007 he still touted the same message -
"I intend to continue to call a hoodlum a hoodlum and scum, scum."
